Rouen audio guide

City of Joan of Arc and fine churches
Rouen is a fascinating city. Despite widespread destruction in the Second World War, it retains three splendid Gothic churches and one of Europe's best concentrations of half timbered architecture.
Add to this the story of Joan of Arc, some excellent medieval and renaissance stained glass, and a gruesome cemetery courtyard with carved skulls and crossbones, not to forget a mummified cat, and you've got an interesting podtour taking at least a day - and involving quite a bit of walking!
The Podtour starts at the cathedral, and visits
the eastern part of the
city with the churches of Saint Maclou and Saint
Ouen before returning to the cathedral en route to the western quarters
with fine Renaissance architecture and the modern church of Joan of Arc.
Don't forget, our audio tours are flexible, so if you have a couple of days
to spend, we'd suggest walking one 'loop' on one day, and the other the
next, giving yourself time to break for lunch - or to buy wicked chocolate
in the Rue du Gros Horloge!
